What Is Your Favorite CMS Platform
Every once in a while we stumble across an insight thats kind of cool and insightful at the same time. Our Arkayne Plugin comes in at least a dozen variants for a dozen various content management systems (CMS). All the recent downloads and installations have painted an interesting picture.

The surprise to us was that WordPress is dominating the other platforms ten to one. We didn’t expect it to be that large of a margin. Now of course this could be due to our intern’s obsession with WordPress, we’ll have words about that. Our guess its a combination of the communal nature of WordPress, the user friendly plugin directory, and the dominance of WordPress as a CMS overall.
We’ll keep an eye out for trends on Drupal or Joomla, both are predicted to be the next big platform. Matt Mullenweg’s recent talk at Phoenix WordCamp indicates the CMS space is still full of opportunity.
In the mean time we’d love to know why our users prefer one platform over the other. In our presentations we get asked all the time what users like about each. Drop us a comment about which platform you use and why? Thanks!
